Harlem Globetrotters return to Milwaukee day after Christmas
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Harlem Globetrotters will perform at Fiserv Forum on Thursday, Dec. 26, marking a schedule change from the team's traditional New Year's Eve appearance in Milwaukee.
Donte "Hammer" Harrison, a player with the Harlem Globetrotters, joined us Tuesday, Dec. 16 to preview the upcoming shows. Harrison has been with the team for 17 years and has traveled to over 70 countries.
"We always come to Milwaukee during the holiday season so we get to see those smiles, connect these families together," Harrison said. "We entertain from 7 to 75. Don't matter how old you are, you're always gonna find something you love about the Harlem Globetrotters."
This year marks the Globetrotters' 100th anniversary. The show will honor legends including Curly Neal, Meadowlark Lemon and Marques Haynes. The team will also debut new uniforms designed by Jeff Hamilton.
Two shows will take place Dec. 26 at Fiserv Forum, one at noon and one at 5 p.m. Tickets are on sale.
The schedule change from New Year's Eve is due to the Milwaukee Bucks hosting the Washington Wizards on Dec. 31.
