Halle Berry lobbies in Wisconsin for funding to improve women's care

CBS 58

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Academy Award winning actress Halle Berry did a little lobbying for a piece of Wisconsin legislation on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

She spoke with CBS 58 virtually about her struggle with perimenopause and menopause, especially the things she didn't know about that phase of her life.

Berry joined Wisconsin State Senator Dianne Hesselbein and Representative Robyn Vining in support of a bill that would set up a coordinated educational effort to make information about menopause more available.

"I am here today standing up for myself through my story, but I know that by doing that, I'm standing up for millions of other women," Berry said.
