Gunman injures two after firing shots at vehicle near 44th and Roosevelt

Milwaukee police say two people are recovering from gunshot wounds after they were shot in traffic near 44th and Roosevelt.

Investigators say the 24-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were injured after the suspect pulled up to their vehicle and began firing just before 11 a.m. Wednesday. 

Both victims were rushed to the hospital, where the man is being treated for serious injuries and the woman is being treated for non-life threatening wounds. 

Police are searching for the suspect and believe the shooting may be drug related.
