OCONOMOWOC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A groundbreaking ceremony was held in Oconomowoc Wednesday morning, for the second St. Jude Dream Home being built in the Milwaukee area.
The project, a collaboration between St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Tim O'Brien Homes, involves the building of a brand-new home, this one located along Ennis Road in Oconomowoc.
The home will be open to the public for viewing this August during the 2026 Parade of Homes event.
Once sold, all proceeds will go toward the lifesaving mission of St. Jude.
"I feel like Wisconsin has embraced this program, the incredible homebuilders and trade partners that really take ownership of this program," said Reah Aitken, area executive director for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. " It raises awareness and raises funds for St. Jude, and so we're just thrilled to have the support of this community in supporting the mission of St. Jude."
The St. Jude Dream Home initiative stretches to more than 40 different markets across the country.
