Greenfield Avenue Ramp Along I-894 Southbound Closing Saturday Until 2018

As work continues on the Zoo Interchange Construction Project ramp closures will be one thing that drivers will need to get used to.

Starting Saturday if you travel from I-94 west or I-41/US-45 north you will no longer be able to exit at Greenfield Ave.

That’s because the I-894 southbound exit ramp to Greenfield Ave. will close long term and undergo extensive reconstruction, all part of the Zoo Interchange Construction Project.

The ramp is expected to remain closed until early 2018.

Several alternates are available to drivers.  If you’re coming from the I-94 west then you can exit at Hwy 100.  If you’re coming from the north along I-41/US-45 southbound then you can exit either at Bluemound Rd and continue to Greenfield Ave. via Hwy 100.  Finally drivers can also take the National, Lincoln or Oklahoma Ave. exit ramps and backtrack to Greenfield Ave. via Hwy 100.

As with most closures it will take drivers some time to get used to these alternates.  You will need to plan for extra time and slow drive times along these routes during the early stages of this closure.
