GREENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 27-year-old man has been charged with OWI after crashing into a tree.

Greendale Police were called to the area of Gardenway and Glen Flora Drive for a report of a single vehicle crash.

It happened around 10:40 p.m. on Monday.

According to police, the vehicle had traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.

The 27-year-old driver was extricated from the vehicle by the Greendale Fire Department and taken to a local hospital.

He was then placed under arrested for OWI - 1st offense.

Charges are pending.
