Greendale High School Marching Band invited to participate in London Parade 2028
Greendale High School GREENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Greendale's High School Marching Band has been selected for their first international parade.
According to a press release from Greendale Schools, the marching band was invited to participate in the London Parade and Festival on New Year's Day, 2028.
The Greendale Marching Band has participated twice in New York City's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and California's Rose Parade, but the London New Year's Day Parade will mark the band's first international appearance.
“Participating in this event will offer Greendale students a unique educational opportunity to perform on an international stage while experiencing significant historical, cultural, and educational sites throughout England,” said Tom Reifenberg, Greendale’s director of bands. “We are excited and grateful for this opportunity.”
Greendale's Marching Band is a 20-time consecutive Wisconsin State Marching Band Association Class AA State Champion.
