Glendale man sentenced to 17 years in prison for May 18 homicide
GREENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A California adventure begins on Friday for the Greendale High School Marching Band and their families.
They are headed for Pasadena where the Greendale Band will march and perform in the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's morning.
The band kids left early. The parents bus was loaded up a little later for the trip to the airport and they sounded just as excited as the students.
"I just think that this is an amazing experience. Our son is gonna be walking in the Rose Bowl Parade and the Badgers are gonna be there. Like, I just think that this is a once in a lifetime thing that we just had to make the trip," said Karen Hickey whose son plays in the band.
The fact that the Badgers are playing in the Rose Bowl game adds an extra layer of excitement for the parents.
