Missing Manitowoc veteran found dead after Green Alert issued
CLEVELAND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The man whose disappearance triggered a Green Alert in Manitowoc County has been found dead, according to officials.
Jason Neumann was found around two miles north of the Village of Cleveland in Lake Michigan on Saturday, Nov. 23, according to a release from the Wisconsin Department of Justice notifying the public about the cancellation of his Green Alert.
According to the Wisconsin Crime Network, Green Alerts are issued to notify the public about missing veterans "who have a service-related health condition."
No additional information about the circumstances behind his death have yet been released.
An investigation is being undertaken by the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office as well as the Manitowoc County coroner.

Neumann was reportedly last seen Monday, Nov. 18.
He is described as a white man, standing 5'8" inches tall, weighing 220 pounds, with blondish hair styled shorter on the sides and longer on top, parted on the side and blue eyes. He has an Army Airborne symbol tattooed on one of his upper arms.
His 2019 blue Toyota 4Runner SUV was found Tuesday, Nov. 19 in shallow water in Lake Michigan near the Village of Cleveland. The vehicle was in drive when recovered, but Neumann was not located.
