Grandson Calls Brown Deer Police after Grandmother texts "HELP"

Brown Deer Police were called to do a welfare check when a 22-year-old received a text message stating “HELP” from his 73-year-old grandmother.

The incident occurred on Saturday.

According to Brown Deer Police, the grandson responded to her residence after he was unable to contact her. He was not able to locate her at the residence.

Officers conducted an Emergency Locate on the female’s phone, which came back to the area the 8600blk of N. Regent Rd.

While officers were still on scene with the male, his grandmother contacted him. It was determined that everything was fine and she had texted him because she needed help with her computer.
