Governor Scott Walker requests Disaster Designation for late frost crop loss

Governor Scott Walker requested Secretarial Disaster Designation from the United States Department of Agriculture for Langlade, Lincoln and Marathon Counties. 
This was in regards to crop losses due to a late frost and freeze. 
Wisconsin's ginseng crop lost 1030 acres due to below-freezing temperatures. 
All counties impacted experienced harvest losses of 28% and seed losses of 50%, according to Walker's request.
