Governor Evers provides update on vaccine clinic at Wisconsin State Fair

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- In a tweet posted Friday afternoon, Aug. 6, Governor Tony Evers announced that 50 people have received the COVID-19 vaccine at the Wisconsin State Fair.

The Wisconsin State Fair and the State Department of Health Services partnered to hold a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for the duration of the fair, which runs Aug. 5 through Aug. 15.

"If you're headed to the State Fair this weekend, stop at our vaccine clinic on your way in to get your shot and a cream puff!" Evers said in the tweet Friday.

The vaccine clinic will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Everyone who gets vaccinated at the fair will receive a voucher for a free cream puff, redeemable at the Cream Puff Pavilion on the Wisconsin State Fair grounds.
