Gordon, Badgers set records in win over Bowling Green

MADISON - Melvin Gordon rushed for five touchdowns, tying a school record, and the Badgers racked up 644 yards rushing in a 68-17 win over Bowling Green Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.

Gordon finished with 253 yards, the most by a running back against an FBS opponent in the NCAA this season. Gordon averaged 19.5 yards per carry, smashing the school record for rushing average with at least 10 attempts in a game.

The 644 yards on the ground is a Big Ten record over the last 84 years. QB Tanner McEvoy added 158 yards rushing, the most by a quarterback in a game in school history.
