Golden Eagles shocked by Nebraska-Omaha at home

Marquette's basketball team found themselves victims of an early season shocker Saturday at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, a 97-89 loss to Nebraska-Omaha from the Summit League.

Juan Anderson finished with 23 points, Derrick Wilson added 17, and Duane Wilson poured in 15 for the Golden Eagles, who were tied with UNO 66-66 in the second half, only to see the Mavericks pull away with a 17-4 run.

The Golden Eagles (1-2) have lost two straight, having dropped a road game at Ohio State earlier in the week. Nebraska-Omaha, who moved to division one just four years ago, ranks 242nd among college basketball teams in field goal percentage. They shot 57 percent against MU Saturday.
