MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- If you didn't get all your holiday shopping done on Black Friday, Nov. 28, you can try your luck at hometown stores during today's Small Business Saturday!
The holiday started in 2010, as a way to show some love for mom-and-pop shops as big box stores get most of the business after Thanksgiving.
And Milwaukee's Third Ward is getting into the spirit. From the Public Market and restaurants to boutiques and spas, the neighborhood's shops have all kinds of deals available.
As for the weather, business owners we spoke to say they're not worried about the lack of customers.
"I think with the weather, you know, we're in Wisconsin. People are going to safe; they're going to be smart but they're still going to come out, they're going to support their local businesses," Milworks Co-owner Jason Meyers.
You've still got some time to check things out tonight, but if you can't make it, some businesses will have more deals throughout the holiday season.
