Germantown High School students issued citations after writing threatening message on a desk

GERMANTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Two teenage students were issued citations for disorderly conduct after a threat was found written on a desk.

A Germantown Police School Resource Officer was made aware that a threat was written on Monday.

Two students, ages 16 and 17, were originally discussing the Florida school shooting. That comment was reduced to writing on a desk that both students were responsible for, police say.

A teacher found the writing and reported it to Germantown High School Administration.

Both students were quickly "identified, cooperative and remorseful," police say.

Police say there was no credible threat.

Both students were issued citations for disorderly conduct.
