George Washington Gets a Makeover

Milwaukee's first public monument is getting a makeover.
The ten foot George Washington statue on W. Wisconsin Avenue will soon be transported to a studio in Illinois for a restoration, including some bronze work.
The statue has been here in Milwaukee since 1884.
