Gay couple: Cab driver kicked us out for kissing

Chicago, IL (WGN) -- Two men who kissed in a Chicago cab are suing the cab company for discrimination after they alleged the driver kicked them out along the Kennedy Expressway.
Steven White and Matthew McCrea had been dating for several months and were on their way back to Chicago from L.A. on May 30, 2013. They say they waited at O'Hare for a cab in the taxi line for almost 30 minutes on a dark and rainy night around 11:30 or so.
Once in the cab, \"Steven was showing me a YouTube video when I leaned over and kissed him,\" Matt said.
The driver of the Sun Taxi, Jama Anshur, flashed the lights inside his taxi and said, according to Matt, \"You can't do this. This is public transportation.\"
Anshur refused service and they refused to get out. They say they didn't feel safe along the busy Kennedy Expressway. So he swerved, they claim, back into fast moving traffic and pulled off at the Cumberland exit. He took them to the Dominick's parking lot nearby.
Meanwhile Steven had already been on the phone with 311 and they transferred him to 911. The couple kept the taxi driver in the parking lot until police arrived.
Now the men are suing him. They don't want this to happen to anyone else.
Anshur was terminated by the Sun Taxi within a week of the incident.
