Gates open for Summerfest 2015

The gates opened at 12:00 pm Wednesday for Summerfest.  The much-anticipated music festival takes over Milwaukee's Lakefront for the next 12 days - 11 with performances, food, and family fun.

Wednesday's Marcus Amphitheater headliner is country band Florida Georgia Line with Thomas Rhett, and Frankie Ballard. 

Summerfest leaders work to diversify the music lineups every year.

\"One of the things of Summerfest is we try to keep that lineup as eclectic as possible,\" VP of Entertainment Bob Babisch told CBS 58's Matt Doyle Wednesday morning. \"You can come here and see all different styles of music on any particular day. It's an inexpensive price, you get to come down and have some fun.\"

The festival runs Wednesday through Sunday then take Monday, June 29 off.  Then runs June 30 through July 5.
