Garden Fresh foods expanding it's recall

Tonight, a warning from Garden Fresh Foods about some of its products. The Milwaukee-based company is expanding its recall of its ready-to-eat chicken and ham items, due to possible contamination with Listeria. This latest announcement impacts 103,080 pounds of food, including chicken salad and sandwich spread. The products are sold under the brands Garden Fresh, Archer Farms, and D’Amico & Sons.




Garden Fresh Foods has already recalled 25,000 pounds of similar products since September 25. Listeria is a bacteria that survives refrigeration and causes fever, muscle aches, and gastrointestinal problems, such as diarrhea.
