The CBS 58 Friday Night Rivals high school football game of the week saw the New Berlin Eisenhower Lions host the Pewaukee Pirates.
The teams know each other well; this was the third meeting in the last two seasons.
Eisenhower shut out their conference rivals 31-0 in a complete team effort.
The scoring got started early with a Max Lewis touchdown run.
Then the Lions’ defense and special teams led to points.
One play after a blocked punt, Gabe Seifert threw a touchdown pass to Eli Hoelke.
Later in the second quarter, Samuel Tausz intercepted Pewaukee quarterback Brady Solomon. The Lions offense took over and Jack Himmelspach eventually ran it in for the score.
A couple more scores iced this one.
The win puts Eisenhower at 2-0 on the season. They take on Wisconsin Lutheran next week.
Pewaukee drops to 1-1 and will next play Greendale.
