Full Speed Ahead with The $1.7 Billion Zoo Interchange Project

The massive zoo interchange project gets revved up over the next week starting with a big ramp opening up this weekend.

On Saturday morning, the northbound offramp to Watertown Plank Road for eastbound drivers will open up after being shut down for months. This will be a huge relief for anyone heading to the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.

And there's more. On Thursday, there will also be additional openings of eastbound and westbound portions of Watertown Plank. But at the same time, north and southbound offramps at Wisconsin Avenue will be closed and the Bluemound bridge as well. So what does this mean for drivers? You have to be aware of the changes and drive defensively.

One other big closure to tell you about for Monday morning. The westbound on and off ramps at 84th Street and I-94 will be closed for months.
