Glendale man sentenced to 17 years in prison for May 18 homicide
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Family and friends of the man killed outside the downtown Hyatt Regency Hotel made their demands loud and clear in a southern Milwaukee neighborhood Tuesday night.
A crowd called for justice for D'Vontaye Mitchell outside Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm's house.
They want the release of the video shown to some of Mitchell's family members last week.
His cousin told us they don't know where Chisholm is right now, but the downtown officers are closed because of the RNC.
"We figured, let's show up at the house and continue to push this message, because as you can hear, they are serious about this. We are serious about this. My cousin did not have to go out like that," said Samantha Mitchell, D'Vontaye Mitchell's cousin.
Mitchell's family members say they want to make sure the four former security guards who held him down before he died are charged, and called for additional charges for people involved in the situation that began inside the hotel lobby.
