Franklin Police Searching for Driver Involved in High Speed Pursuit

Franklin Police are looking for a driver that was involved in a property damage accident and high speed pursuit on Wednesday morning.

According to Franklin Police, the incident occurred at 5:45 AM.

Franklin Police attempted a traffic stop on a gray 2005 Pontiac G6 in the 8800 block of West Drexel Avenue for suspended registration and possible warrants for the driver.

Driver of the vehicle failed to stop and fled eastbound on Drexel Avenue at a high rate of speed.

The fleeing vehicle was involved in a property damage accident in an apartment complex parking located in the 7500 blk of Drexel Avenue prior to the driver fleeing on foot.

Officers were notified by an area resident that their 2017 Dodge Durango was stolen while left running in a driveway.

Franklin squads observed and attempted to stop the stolen Dodge Durango in the area of 76th and Drexel.  The vehicle failed to stop and a second pursuit ensued northbound on South 76th Street before proceeding eastbound on Rawson Avenue at a high rate.  The pursuit was terminated in the 4000 blk of Rawson Avenue.

Franklin Police are currently conducting follow up investigation to locate and identify the driver(s) involved in both incidents. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Franklin Police Department.
