FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) – Franklin High School has a new lab with the motto “if you can dream it, you can build it.”
The Accelerator Lab is filled with multiple 3D printers along with a laser engraver. While the lab is open for any student to make their own creation, most of the students using the lab are interested in careers in engineering.
“I wanted to get into architecture and stuff like that, engineering. I can only imagine it will be more and more on the computer, drawing stuff up like that. I think that the programs I've used in this class will help me in those career fields,” says senior Josh Ring.
The school eventually wants to make the space open to the public.
