RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The national president of Forward Latino says his nonprofit has confirmed three instances of activity with the U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

On Saturday, the group posted to their Facebook page that there was a single, targeted incident in Racine. The post clarified that the activity was not a raid.

In an interview with CBS 58 on Monday, Jan. 27, Morin confirmed there were two similar ICE activities reported to them in Fort Atkinson and Whitewater.

“These were individuals that were targeted previously by ICE and we don’t believe it has a lot to do, other than timing, with the change in policy at the federal level," said Darryl Morin, the National President of Forward Latino.

Morin said before Forward Latino puts anything on its Facebook page, it is vetted through a couple of different manors.

In a post on X from Sunday, Jan 26, the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement said nationwide, there have been 956 arrests, and 554 detainers lodged.

In light of the recent ICE raids leaving businesses confused and scared, immigration firm Boundless Immigration's CEO Xiao Wang says they've has developed a list of what local companies need to know when confronted by ICE agents.

"We know it’s going on. We know it’s going to be more complicated," Wang said.

CBS 58 has reached out to the Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and city leaders in Racine to confirm the ICE activity.

Racine officials released the following statement:

"The City of Racine is aware of rumors circulating on social media regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in our area. The Racine Police Department has no information indicating that ICE is conducting operations within the city limits of Racine at this time.

Racine is an inclusive community enriched by the contributions of our diverse population. We understand the concerns these rumors may cause and reaffirm our commitment to supporting and respecting all members of our community while ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone who calls Racine home."
