Forward Latino mourns passing of Hispanic trailblazer Bill Richardson
FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Forward Latino, a non-profit organization headquartered in Frankin, mourns the passing of Former Governor Bill Richardson on Saturday, Sept. 2.
Richardson was 75 and died in his summer home in Massachusetts.
"Today we are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Governor, Secretary, Ambassador and Representative Bill Richardson. We send our deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time," said Daryl Morin, the Forward Latino National President in a press release.
"I am certain his family will find comfort as they reflect upon his many achievements including the countless lives he saved, helped and transformed during his 40+ years of public service. I had the honor to meet and discuss a number of issues with then Governor Richardson."
"Always a trailblazer, going into areas and serving in positions rarely held by Hispanic Americans, his legacy will continue to serve as an inspiration to many in the Latino community," said Morin.
