Former State Senator and convicted felon speaks out

Milwaukee - Former State Senator and convicted felon Gary George is now a congressional candidate. He and three other candidates are running for Gwen Moore's 4th district congressional seat. George made himself the surprise entry this week after he announced his campaign. George hasn't served in office since 2003, after we was recalled by the State Senate.

George spent four years in prison for taking illegal kickbacks, and conspiring to commit fraud. The former State Senator is defending his 2003 conviction, and says it was part of a conspiracy. George says if he elected Congressman, he will tackle issues on crime, education, and transportation in the City of Milwaukee. The primary against Gwen Moore is in August.
