Former MPD officer sentenced to 1 year probation for misusing Flock camera system

CBS 58 MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Former Milwaukee police officer Josue Ayala was sentenced to a year of probation Wednesday after pleading guilty to attempted misconduct in public office.

Prosecutors say he used Flock license plate cameras to run nearly 200 searches on two cars in the span of three months.
Court records say the cars belonged to Ayala's former romantic partner and that partner's ex.
Ayala resigned from his position as part of a deal.
As part of the sentencing hearing, Ayala was also fined $500.
