WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Beer brats, pulled pork, and brisket. All on the menu, and all raising money for a good cause.
The owners of Merget's Mouthwatering Mayhem set up in the Waukesha North parking lot Tuesday. They made the three-hour trip from Merrill to brave the cold and serve up some hot food, all to raise money for 17-year-old Connor Wilkum.
The Waukesha North senior was recently diagnosed with cancer. And while the food truck's owner doesn't know Connor personally, he says he's happy to help out on his road to recovery.
"We're all out here, the whole community," said owner Art Merget. "I mean, to reach us three hours away, the community is getting reached, and there's a lot of people out there trying to support him, and hopefully he gets better."
Connor's family is also raising money to help support his recovery. You can find a link here.
