Fond du Lac Police: Vehicle damaged, home hit in separate shootings

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Police in Fond du Lac are investigating two overnight shootings that are less than a mile apart. 

The first happened around 10:40 p.m. in the area of Ellis and E. 2nd Streets. According to police, a vehicle on the street was damaged and officers also found a shell casing. 

Around 2:00 a.m. Friday investigators were called for shots being fired into a home on Morris Street near S. Military Road. At the time, the homeowner told police he heard possible shots but didn't see anything and couldn't find any damage. Later, the homeowner told police he found bullet holes inside his home. 

No one was hurt in either incident, although the home did have people inside at the time of the shooting.
