Fond du Lac man sentenced for his role in $1 million heroin conspiracy ring

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58 ) -- The Fond du Lac District Attorney announced on Friday that Nathan Ziegler has been sentenced to 8 years of initial prison confinement and 10 years of extended supervision for his role in a $1 million heroin conspiracy ring. 

On February 14, 2018 Ziegler had pleaded no contest to one count of Conspiracy to Manufacture/Delivery Heroin greater than 50 grams and was found guilty and two other conspiracy counts were dismissed but read-in to the court record. Ziegler faced up to 25 years of initial confinement and 15 years of extended supervision and a fine up to $100,000.

District Attorney Toney stated “Our law enforcement and court system continue to hold those dealing drugs in our community accountable and this another example of excellent investigative work by our local enforcement as we all strive to keep our community safe and drugs out of our community. More work is needed but this a step in the right direction.”
