Fond du Lac Fire Department donates sleeping bags, hygiene kits to students at Chegwin Elementary

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Fond du Lac Fire Department visited students at Chegwin Elementary School Tuesday, April 12 to deliver some items and give the kids a tour of their fire trucks.

The firefighters donated 40 sleeping bags and 40 hygiene kits to 2nd graders.

The students recently learned about community leadership and wanted to give the sleeping bags to children in their school who they identified as in need of these supplies. 

The school says the kids helped unload them, carry them and will help distribute them.
