MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Fiserv Forum is looking for hundreds of workers to fill positions ahead of the next season.

They're hosting two job fairs this week -- as companies across our area struggle to find employees.

Fiserv is offering incentives like a pay boost after six months for some employees. With the worker shortage, experts say it's a good time to get a job.

Fiserv Forum's general manager says they are preparing for a very busy upcoming season.

And for that, they need more employees.

"Thus far we've been able to successfully run our events but we are relying on some resources, outside of the norm, with temp agencies and others," said Fiserv Forum Senior VP & General Manager Dennis Williams.

Milwaukee resident Cedric Reed has decades of restaurant and managerial experience.

He loves the Bucks culture and came to Fiserv looking for something fun and new.

"Well it makes it exciting to be part of that. Why not? I mean, I'm at that stage now where I want to enjoy life. I want to enjoy the things that are going on around me," said Reed.

The Bucks aren't alone.

Potawatomi expanded its hiring bonus program to all new hires.

Summerfest, this week, announced a $3.50 raise for most of their seasonal employees in an effort to staff the event.

Commerce officials say employment is still roughly 60% of what it was pre-pandemic.

"If you're a worker and you're willing to work, it has never been a better time to go out looking for a job," said Steve Baas, senior vice president for governmental affairs at the Milwaukee Metropolitan Association of Commerce. "Employers are being incredibly creative, trying to get workers here, keep them employed and make them part of their culture."

Tuesday's Fiserv Forum job fair ended at noon.

If you missed out, you can attend their next job fair on September 15 from 3-6 p.m.
