Fiserv Forum, Deer District ready for March Madness
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Eight teams are headed to Milwaukee this weekend for the NCAA Tournament, and Michael Belot, Senior Vice President of Bucks Ventures and Development, says the Deer District is ready to play host.
“Anybody who has a ticket is going to have a tremendous experience inside Fiserv Forum, but I think what’s cool is you are also going to be able to have that experience outside,” Belot said.

Belot says bars and restaurants in the Deer District will have expanded hours and food and drink specials. Punch Bowl Social will open its doors on Wednesday, March 16. The 24,000-square-foot bar and restaurant has been closed for almost two years.
“Punch Bowl Social’s restaurant and entertainment features play an important role in Deer District’s environment and comprehensive offerings,” Belot said.
The beer garden will also offer fans a chance without a ticket to watch the games outdoors. Belot says the combination of Saint Patrick’s Day, warmer weather, and declining COVID cases will make the Deer District a popular spot
“This is going to feel like the closest thing to a Bucks playoff experience since the (2021 NBA) finals,” he said.
No matter who wins on the court, the tournament is a win for Milwaukee. Claire Koenig, Communications Director for Visit Milwaukee, estimates the economic impact for the two rounds of the tournament to be about $6.5 million.
If you plan to watch the games in person, Fiserv Forum will not have seating capacity limits, and there is no mask requirement. Arena officials say this follows city and state guidance.
