Firefighters work to extinguish fire at Racine home

Racine Fire Department crews responded to a house fire at 1208 S. Memorial Drive in Racine, just after 5:00 Tuesday evening.

Crews found flames showing from a second floor window of the single family home on arrival.

The fire was confined to the closet area of a second floor bedroom but was quickly extinguished.

Residents were home at the time of the incident. They have been assisted by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
