KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- According to officials the call for the porch fire came in around 12:45 Wednesday morning.
The American Red Cross says they are assisting eight people from two families that lived in the duplex. There were two people in the family downstairs and six upstairs.
The cause of the fire has been identified as misplaced smoking material and damage was estimated at $43,000.

KENOSHA, Wis. (CBS 58) – A fire caused major damage to a home in Kenosha early Wednesday morning.
The home is located near 36th and 68th near Bullamore Park.
There is no word on the damage or any possible injuries at this time.
