MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It’s almost like winning an Academy Award. But instead of movies, we're talking food. The James Beard Foundation recently announced its 2023 Restaurant and Chef Awards Semifinalists.
Milwaukee hotspot "Lupi & Iris" made the list for best restaurant. Also, Gregory Leon of Amilinda is up for Best Chef in the Midwest.
Restaurant group "Black Shoe Hospitality," not featured in this particular story, is also getting some recognition for Outstanding Restaurateur.
The official nomination list will be out in late March and then the winners will be announced in early June.
