(CBS 58) – Certified financial planner Tony Drake joined CBS 58 to talk about the importance of having an emergency fund.
Drake explained an emergency fund is money you can access at any time to pay for an unexpected expense. He advises people to have three to six months’ worth of expenses in an emergency fund.
In order to start a fund, Drake encourages people to look at budgeting basics, automate savings and put away newfound income such as a stimulus check.
More information can be found on the Drake and Associates website.
