MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The final leg of the Zoo Interchange Project is now on the calendar.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced that with $175 million put aside in Governor Tony Evers' budget, the project can move forward.
The project has been going on since 2012.
Some parts of it have been completed but the final two miles between Swan Boulevard and Burleigh can now be widened to four lanes.
The final part of the project will start at the end of the summer of 2020.
