MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An iconic fixture on Milwaukee's eastside is getting ready to close its doors for good. 

Milwaukee's Beans & Barley specialty store and restaurant will officially close at the end of business on Sat. Jan. 31.

In a Facebook post, the business said they had to make the decision after the building was sold.

That didn't stop many people from venturing out and enjoying the last day of business at the eastside fixture. 

Beans & Barely have been open since 1973.

In a statement, the current owners also urged businesses to hire their staff: 

If you are an employer in the hospitality business we strongly urge you to hire someone from our incredible staff, any of you would be lucky to have one of our 70 employees doing the great
work for you they have done for us."

You can visit the restaurant one last time until 2:00 p.m. on Sat. Jan. 31.
