Fights lead to two separate shootings in Milwaukee Saturday

MILWAUKEE, WI (CBS 58) -- What started out as a dispute between two individuals escalated into a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Saturday afternoon.   The Milwaukee Police say a 49-year-old woman was involved in the dispute with a known subject who shot her and then fled the scene.   The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment of what has been described as a non-life threatening wound.

The incident happened around 4:40 PM Saturday along S 6th Street near College Avenue.  The Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and are looking for a known suspect.

In a separate incident, a 39-year-old man was shot after getting into a fight with a known suspect.   According to the MPD, during the fight, the suspect retrieved a gun and shot the victim.   The wounded man was able to get himself to a local hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.   The incident happened around 7:30 PM in the area of N 37th Street and W North Avenue.   The MPD is looking for a known suspect.
