Felon Before Fleeing from Police Allegedly Admitted to Having Guns

A felon was allegedly caught fled from Milwaukee Police with two guns on North 91st Street and West Silver Spring Drive around 3:55 PM on Wednesday.

District Four officers responded for a subject with a gun complaint.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw a man matching the suspect’s description leaving a nearby business.

The suspect fled on foot and officers ran after him and took him into custody a block away.

The suspect, an 18-year-old Milwaukee man who is also a convicted felon, admitted to having two handguns when he first spotted the police.

Officers found the guns in a dumpster the suspect had jumped over and one of them was discovered to be stolen.

MPD will present the case against the suspect to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office for charges in the coming days.
