WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin kicked off its annual Food for the Holidays campaign Wednesday, Nov. 1.
The nonprofit is partnering with Pick 'n Save to bring food to families in need this season.
This year's campaign spokesperson is a hometown icon, Charlie Berens.
The host of the Manitowoc Minute says the holiday season is the perfect time to give, and even a small donation can go a long way.
"Maybe a dollar doesn't mean a whole lot to you personally, but what Feeding America does, is it takes all those dollars, and with all that buying power, gets food at a much smaller price so it can feed more people than, say, a dollar could get you personally," said Berens.
Feeding America says just $1 provides four healthy meals to people in need.
You can make donations of money or non-perishable food items at Pick 'n Save stores.
