Federal appeals court upholds Act 10

MADISON -- Public union restrictions passed by state government in 2011 have been upheld by a judge in the federal appeals court.

This is the latest ruling on the controversial Act 10 that restricts the ability of public unions to collectively bargain. The failed lawsuit was filed by unions representing public employees employed by the City of Madison and Dane County.

In a statement, Governor Walker joined Wisconsin's Attorney General in touting this as another victory against collective bargaining.

Walker said \"…today's unanimous Federal Appeals Court continues that trend, and we remain confident the Wisconsin Supreme Court will also uphold Act 10.\"
