Fatal overnight crash at County Highways A/I and W, 25-year-old dead

DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The driver of the Chevy Malibu was identified by the sheriff's office Wednesday as Vincent Garza of Beaver Dam.

OAK GROVE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Dodge County sheriff’s deputies responded to a fatal car-semi crash at the intersection of County Highways A/I and W in Oak Grove at 2:42 a.m. on Tuesday, July 2.

This intersection is approximately 2.5 miles west of Juneau.

Officials report that a silver 2012 Chevy Malibu, driven by a 25-year-old man from Beaver Dam, was driving northbound on County Highway A/I and entered the southbound lane at the intersection. The Malibu reportedly collided with a southbound 2022 Mack semi hauling a flatbed trailer with steel.

The Malibu driver was fatally injured, and the 63-year-old semi driver from New Holstein sustained minor injuries and was transported to Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam.

A second northbound semi, driven by a 59-year-old man from Pulaski, was also struck but the driver was uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.
