Fatal officer-involved shooting in Town of Geneva

A person died in an officer involved shooting that happened in Walworth County Friday evening.
Town of Geneva Police Chief Steven Hurley said that at about 5:10 PM the Town of Geneva Police Department was involved in an officer involved shooting and no officer was injured.
Police arrived at Lincoln Drive and Gooseberry Road in the Town of Geneva after a complaint a man broke a window with an ax. 
"Ensuing contact with the suspect resulted in the suspect charging officers with a large knife," said Town of Geneva Police Chief Steven Hurley in a release sent out Saturday.
After the suspect ran at officers with knife in hand, two Town of Geneva Police Officers shot at the man.
The man later died. The release identified him at Eric C. Olsen. Town of Geneva Police say the investigation is ongoing. The Walworth County Sheriff's Office and the Department of Justice are investigating the officer-involved shooting. The two officers that fired their guns are on administrative leave. According to the release, it is standard department procedure.
