UPDATE: Driver cited after pedestrian hit by car at Capitol and Calhoun in Brookfield

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A driver has been cited after a pedestrian was hit and killed Thursday night.
It happened July 18 around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Capitol Drive and Calhoun Road.
Brookfield Police say 49-year-old Gregg Dean of Brookfield was crossing W. Capitol Drive when he was hit by an eastbound vehicle. Dean was killed in the collision.
The driver, a 37-year-old Milwaukee man, stayed on the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Citations have been issued to the driver for operating with suspended vehicle registration and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.
Police say they are still waiting on toxicology results to determine whether impairment was a factor in the crash for either the pedestrian or driver.

BROOKFIELD, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 49-year-old Brookfield man is dead after he was hit by a car late Thursday night. The crash happened around 10:15 PM near Capitol Drive and Calhoun Road.
Investigators say the man was trying to cross Capitol when the car hit him. The victim died at the scene. The driver is a 37-year-old Milwaukee man.
Brookfield police say it's too early in the investigation to determine whether impairment was a factor by either party.
Eastbound lanes on Capitol near Calhoun are still closed for the investigation.
