Fatal Car/Pedestrian Accident in Milwaukee Early this Morning

The Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal car/pedestrian accident this morning. The accident occurred at 2:56 AM near N 14th Street and W Atkinson Avenue. The victim, a 46-year-old woman from Milwaukee, was struck as she was running northbound across W Atkinson. The driver of a 2013 Ford Fusion remained on the scene. The driver, a 52-year-old Milwaukee woman, is cooperating with police. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this accident.
