Melting continues ahead of our next chance for mixed showers
It's shaping up to be another gorgeous fall day across southeast Wisconsin with abundant sunshine and temperatures currently in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Today marks the second day in a row that temps have reached the 70s. It's a welcomed sight after such a cool start to the month.
Typically Milwaukee averages 5 days in the 70s during the month of October, but it's not a guarantee. Last October Milwaukee only warmed into the 70s once, and it happened on the first day of the month.
Temps will be a bit cooler on Thursday as winds turn off the lake in the afternoon, but a strong southwest wind will boost temps into the upper 70s on Friday. A cold front will gradually slide through the state on Saturday which will drop temps a few degrees for the weekend, but highs will still be above normal (62°).
Mainly dry weather is expected through the weekend. See when our next best chance for rain returns by downloading the CBS 58 Ready Weather App.
